Monitoring the gas chamber inside the gas meter to determine the amount of gas used over time allows the company to accurately measure the usage of gas. The sensors can measure meter diaphragm position or vane position (rotary) in mechanical gas flow meters to provide highly accurate readings.

Sensors enable companies to determine a leak or break in the line. Your systems can detect a pressure drop indicating a main line break. As the pressure is being measured and determines significant drop, it will also help locate the closest location for shutoff causing less leakage. This measurement can also be applied to determining a potential regulator failure.
